Hummingbirds are my favorite birds and it is a joy to watch them buzz around in my yard everyday. They are the cutest creatures and I love painting them in combination with my favorite flowers, in this case the red trumpets.

As an artist, I am interested in painting and capturing images of all the beauty that surrounds us. We live in an incredibly beautiful world, and I try not to take that for granted. I paint with watercolors (my favorite medium), acrylics, alcohol inks, color pencils, sometimes mixing different mediums for certain effects. I also try capturing interesting views or angles with my camera. Depending on the subject, I may modify a photograph digitally to create a totally different and interesting image.
