These were blooms on one of the many plumeria plants that I grow in my garden in southern California. The petals show a striking mix of gold and red colors, thus the title "Red Gold". Watercolors seemed to be the perfect media to use for painting this beauty!

As an artist, I am interested in painting and capturing images of all the beauty that surrounds us. We live in an incredibly beautiful world, and I try not to take that for granted. I paint with watercolors (my favorite medium), acrylics, alcohol inks, color pencils, sometimes mixing different mediums for certain effects. I also try capturing interesting views or angles with my camera. Depending on the subject, I may modify a photograph digitally to create a totally different and interesting image.
