I like playing with Alcohol Inks as it is a very challenging medium, and most everything created with them tend to come out with a non-realistic look. I like the result in this piece, which has dark blooms set off against a bright green background.
As an artist, I am interested in painting and capturing images of all the beauty that surrounds us. We live in an incredibly beautiful world, and I try not to take that for granted. I paint with watercolors (my favorite medium), acrylics, alcohol inks, color pencils, sometimes mixing different mediums for certain effects. I also try capturing interesting views or angles with my camera. Depending on the subject, I may modify a photograph digitally to create a totally different and interesting image.
