Besides the plumerias and tropical flowers, the turtles are another favorite sight of mine when I am in Hawaii. These beautiful creatures look so peaceful whether swimming in the water or resting on the beaches and make great subjects for painting!
About Hao Aiken
As an artist, I am interested in painting and capturing images of all the beauty that surrounds us. We live in an incredibly beautiful world, and I try not to take that for granted. I paint with watercolors (my favorite medium), acrylics, alcohol inks, color pencils, sometimes mixing different mediums for certain effects. Just beautiful Hao Aiken. When I go walking I usually pause by a pond and see a turtle swimming. It is fun to be meditative watching the graceful swimming it has and its occasional head pop up out of the water. Loving your watercolors here very much.
