This Plumeria plant is blooming for me in my garden in southern California. I've always love to see sunlight on the flowers petals, and these particular ones looked almost as if they were glowing! I just had to capture that look with a watercolor painting.
As an artist, I am interested in painting and capturing images of all the beauty that surrounds us. We live in an incredibly beautiful world, and I try not to take that for granted. I paint with watercolors (my favorite medium), acrylics, alcohol inks, color pencils, sometimes mixing different mediums for certain effects. I also try capturing interesting views or angles with my camera. Depending on the subject, I may modify a photograph digitally to create a totally different and interesting image.
