Dahlias always catch my attention, with their large colorful blooms and sometimes interesting twisty petals. This one is stunning with some gold/yellow streaks mixed into mostly red petals.

As an artist, I am interested in painting and capturing images of all the beauty that surrounds us. We live in an incredibly beautiful world, and I try not to take that for granted. I paint with watercolors (my favorite medium), acrylics, alcohol inks, color pencils, sometimes mixing different mediums for certain effects.
